Your best bet is to get online and do a google search. Call the places up and negotiate. This is the slow season anyway. Then there is that pesky oil spill that hasn’t even come close to the Keys, but people apparently are freaking out and cancelling reservations, so innkeepers are "hungry" at the moment.
Can I talk an owner down on the price that they have set for a weekly vacation rental?
You can always try-the worst that can happen is they say "no"; you might want to research what similar rentals are going for in the area–you may already have a bargain. If its a "hot" area as well, you may have no bargaining power–if there already are multiple potential renters. Good luck.

Me and my girlfriend and another couple are looking to rent a condo either in panama city beach or Myrtle beach this summer but it seems all of them say the minmum age is 25. Does anyone know of any condos that rent to people under 25?(we are all 23)
I honestly cant think of any condo that hasnt cracked down on that rule. You could still rent from a hotel though. There are some places that will rent to 18 yr olds with a security deposit. I think places like the Days Inn maybe but for sure the Sandpiper Beacon. Give a few places a call but I doubt you will find a condo. GOOD LUCK!

A friend of ours is going to spend a few days in NYC in September and we are trying to help her find some decent accommodations for a reasonable price. The offers in craiglist seem good – some seem to good to be true but, there is the deposit issue – supposedly to reserve the place. We wonder if this is a secure procedure, if it could be scam? We have no way of checking it in person.

I did read about scam and fraud but it is still hard to know if it is a real thing or not.
There are many, many scams on craigslist! Things to avoid:
Apartments under $100/night – You’ll find loads of beautifully furnished apartments advertised for $60, $65, $70 per night (or 2 or 3 bedrooms for $100-$125/night) with amazing photographs, sun drenched rooms and decor. These are NOT actual NYC apartments, they are pictures taken from other cities, real estate sites, magazines, etc. .
Most scammers will ask you to wire a deposit via Western Union. DON’T DO IT! They price the nightly rates low to attract you, but their real goal is to get you to send a deposit, which you’ll never see again. And contrary to popular belief, you are also not 100% safe using Paypal, as the scammers have begun using that as well. If you do use paypal, use a credit card so you can do a chargeback if there’s a problem.
Another obvious way to expose a scammer is that they list several apartments at the same time (in a row) with similarities such as using a yahoo email account (also ymail, gmail) or broken english in the ad or in their response (most scammers are overseas). Look for traits such as writing an email address twice like this:

(They use the same pattern but with different email names)
Another way to expose a scammer is to flag the ad as "spam" and hit refresh in your browser. Many scam ads will get removed after a single flag, because they post in other cities as well and get flagged all the time. Many scammers will post especially late at night/early in the morning when there is less of a chance that they’ll be flagged since less people visit, but they do also post all day long.
Last and most important…. do a google search for the email, name or address of the person or website. There are many websites & blogs dedicated to getting ripped off. There are even some websites that advertise on craigslist that have scammed or left people homeless when they arrived.
There are of course, legit ads on craigslist but it’s up to you to do your homework!

During the day you can go on any of the many beautiful beaches by the shore of the lake, do some shoping, sightseeing in the city or just sit in one of the many cafés in any of the narrow streets in the Old Town and enjoy. For sightseeing, there’re enormous many old churches, my favourite ones are Plaoshnik, more than 15 centuries old, St. Jovan Caneo, St. Naum… If you climb on the Samuil Fortress, just 5 min from the centre, you get amazing sight on the whole lake.
The Lake is clean, one of the oldest ones in Europe, from 1980 protected by UNESCO as a place of world cultural and natural inheritance. Most of the lake’s plant and animal species are endemic, which also makes Ohrid unique. The most famous among these are two types of Ohrid Trout. You should try them prepared on the traditional way. Mmmmm…
Ohrid is also known as the site of the first Slavic university run by St. Clement and St. Naum at the end of the 9th century. Ohrid, also, used to be the centre of the orthodox Christianity in the whole region. There’s so much history there…
And DO NOT miss a boat trip on the lake, especially at night, believe me one of a kind experience!!
I must not forget to mention the hospitability of the people there.

Me and about 7 of my friends are planning a trip to O.C. this summer and need to find a place that will rent to a group of college kids under the age of 20 and will not be too expensive.
The best site I’ve found is Owner Direct Vacation Rentals. They only have a couple of places in Maryland right now: http://www.ownerdirect.com/lodging/usa/maryland/maryland.htm, and not in Ocean City.
The way they work is that they put you right in touch with the owner, so if you let them know your ages, etc, they’ll tell you whether or not they’re OK with that.
Having said that, it is pretty rare to find a vacation rental that will have a group of under 20 college kids… but it’s always worth a try. The worst thing that can happen is that they say no… so you don’t have anything to lose by inquiring.
