May you recommend a few bargain rentals?
My buddies and I started a few weeks ago with long boards (mostly Manhattan Beach, CA). Web shows Makapuu Beach or Ehukai for all surfers.
Yes, we’re newbs. No "pipes" or north shore, Oahu for us.
THANKS!
If you are good swimmers, you should try Sandy Beach down the coast in Waimanalo. It is by Makapuu beach so you can test out both beaches. The waves get pretty rough though and it is very crowded. If you are really noobies, then try the calmer beaches in Waimanalo by this Air Force Station called Bellows. Ala Moana Beach park is also a cool place to go, although it is extremely crowded, but is a cool place to chill. Some other sick places to go is by this resort known as Turtle Bay. Over there is Waimea Bay, Sunset Beach, and the intimidating Banzai Pipeline. Have fun brah. Shaka!
I need suggestions and comments on my new vacation rentals website and forum- www.vacationcentric.com
It looks okay…….
We want to stay at an all inclusive resort because its just less stressful that way to know you flight food and room are already taken care of before you leave home. I have been searching the net but can’t seem to locate an all inclusive resort in hawaii can anyone help me out with this? Thanks so MUCH!
There is only one all inclusive resort in Hawaii. It is Kona Village Resort, on the island of Hawaii. Everything is included, except for drinks. You also have to make your own travel arrangements. We just spent a week there with my extended family, and it was by far the best vacation we have ever taken. You stay in your own thatched-roof hut, called a hale. All activities are included, along with equipment (snorkeling, kayaks, tennis rackets, bocce, ping pong, fishing poles, etc.) The food was excellent. The staff was incredibly friendly. The pools and private beach were nice, and uncrowded. There are giant turtles that come up on the beach in the evenings, and they shine a light on the ocean every night, which attracts plankton, which in turn attracts manta rays. An awesome sight. There are two luaus every week, and they are included – you can skip one, and go to the dining room instead, if you want. They also have a paniolo (Hawaiian cowboy) steak feed one night each week, and lots of activities for kids – lei making, grass skirt making, etc. We went in July, and my kids are still talking about it. It isn’t cheap, but you can save a little money by choosing a hale that is not ocean front. They all have something to offer. Ours was on a pond, and it turned out to be the best thing for us, because my kids had a blast fishing off our deck (catch & release). The hales have no phones t.v.’s or air conditioning, but you won’t miss any of it. The windows are actually louvered, and go all the way around, so you get a nice breeze at night. Their website is www.konavillage.com. You won’t regret it!
How did you chose your destination?
Where are you or where did you go?
I’m just asking because my fiance and I were up late discussing possible honeymoon destinations and places we’d love to go, his parents have a condo rental in mexico(time share thingy), but they can trade with people if they want. They have said that they will pay for a week in cabo, cancun, or puerto vallarta, and if they can swap they said maybe either hawaii or even somewhere in the carribean(though my fiance doesn’t really want to fly too far away). On top of it we kind of want to tour europe(I’ve been and would love to go back, hes never been)….
So kinda up in the air still, so i’m just curious about how others chose where they went! Thanks!
He just doesn’t want to spend a good portion of our trip on a plane.
We discussed Australia and its not out of the question, but its unlikely.
My fiance doesn’t like beaches and I’m not big on international travel – - I speak no foreign languages, airfare is sooo expensive, and fiance hasn’t given in to my nagging him to get a passport either.
The ideas I am lobbying for as a honeymoon destination are: Mississipi River Cruise
Cruise to Canada & New England (if he gets his passport)
Southwest – Arizona mostly and a bit of New Mexico (i’ve been to the area and love it, he hasn’t been and I really want him to get to see it).
Charleston, SC
Canadian Rockies train tour (he needs that passport again – any wonder why I’m nagging him?)
We live in Pennsylvania.
